She subsequently joined the Nature Conservancy and documented their holdings on Shelter Island. Designing and building more than a dozen speculative ventures in the Hamptons in addition to other building and renovation projects along with her late husband, a respected architect, honed Laura's skills in evaluating houses, land and subdivisions.
