Brooklyn broker Kirsten Syrett brings an adventurous spirit and a wealth of personal experience to every real estate engagement.
With a desire to see the world, Kirsten became a NYC-based flight attendant for Delta Air Lines. She took advantage of the jobs travel perks by exploring Thailand, India, Korea, Peru, Mexico and many countries within Europe. She always maintained a residence in the city and eventually negotiated a buyout on her rent stabilized apartment in the East Village that enabled her to buy a co-op in Brooklyn - a real estate career was born.
In 2002, Kirsten began by locating tenants for owner-occupied townhouses in Boerum Hill. Seeing firsthand the flexibility and income potential multi-families have to offer, she pivoted to help others buy in Brownstone Brooklyn. She went on to renovate two homes of her own; a landmarked townhouse in Prospect Lefferts Gardens and a three-family in Cobble Hill. Always keen to share her experiences as a homeowner and landlord, she excels in customer service, digs deep into market data, and expertly guides her clients through the buying and selling process. Recruited by Compass in 2017, she is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York as well as a certified residential specialist, negotiation expert, and buyers representative.
Kirstens family immigrated to the United States from the north of England when she was twelve. She lived in Indiana, Maryland and Georgia before relocating to New York City. It was on a rooftop in Red Hook, Brooklyn where she met her husband. They have managed to raise two city kids to enjoy and respect nature having camped together around Iceland, Norway, Newfoundland, Glacier National Park and the Catskills.
