Diane's life and career took a turn in 1987 when she and her husband settled in East Hampton after years of vacationing there. The couple's endeavors in real estate investment and home renovation inspired Diane to enter the business outright. She went to work at ET Dayton, where she soon became a partner. When the company merged with Halstead Property in 1994, Diane was instrumental in the use of creative advertising, PR, and technology to grow Dayton-Halstead's three-person office into a three-office, 60-licensee operation with over $133 million in sales. Diane became a full-time broker again in 2005 after she sold her company to NRT, and was soon one of the top agents at the Corcoran Group.
