About Michael Higgins
Michael is very committed to making the home purchase, sale or rental experience smooth and satisfying for his clients. Having spent multiple years in sales, in positions spanning retail, online, door-to-door, traveling and auction sales, his rich history laid the perfect groundwork for success in the residential market.
Michael?s interest in real estate bloomed while working under his father who owned a law firm. He learned about law, real estate and business etiquette; and received one of the best educations. Michael went on to assist a close friend and licensed agent before getting his own real estate salesperson license. He is passionate about the business, but more importantly, about helping people achieve their goals and dreams.
?I believe in honesty, fairness, hard work and transparency. I subscribe to the notion that if you hire me, it is my job to tirelessly fulfill your expectations.?
Originally from Bergen County, NJ, Michael holds a B.S. degree from New York University. He has lived in Greenwich Village, the Upper East Side and Hell?s Kitchen, and brings broad knowledge of the different Manhattan neighborhoods.
Complementing his highly people-centric background, Michael also worked in the restaurant and music industries. He was fortunate to perform across the U.S. and parts of Europe during his musical career, and was in an elite student symphony before attending college. As a signed performing artist for Sony/Red records, Michael met many influential musicians and draws on a vast network of contacts. He currently lives in Brooklyn and NJ respectively with his girlfriend and their dog.
Music remains Michael?s main hobby. He is a professional-level drummer plus plays guitar, piano and bass. Michael loves the NYC music scene and attends live performances regularly all around the five boroughs. He?s also intrigued with NYC parks, where you can see street performers, farmer?s markets, Shakespeare, activists, unique cuisine and more bustling inside any of the city?s plethora of public spaces.
